Dear Springtime,
I thought you might like to see pictures of our new dog, Almost April. We got her from the shelter on March 27 of this year. She came from one of the worst cases of animal abuse/hoarding that the state of Maine's animal welfare people had ever seen. She was one of the lucky ones, eight dogs were found dead and six more had to be put down. All we did was start adding Longevity to her food, feed her three good meals a day, and give lots of love. You can see what 2 ½ months of good care can do! She looks and feels so much better. Thanks for making a product that produces results.

I'd like you to meet a very special dog. Her name is Spud and she is a blue merle Australian Shepherd. I have called her my "little horse" because I went to a horse sale to buy a horse and I came back with her. She has been my constant companion for 13 years and 10 months. She does not follow me around the farm, she leads me.
Two years ago at age 12, she tore her left hind ACL chasing the horses. I had the vet perform surgery on her. Her recovery wasn't easy. She hated being restrained and moved like she hurt. A friend suggested I give her Joint Health Chewables which I did for a couple of months and saw some improvement but she still seemed in pain when walking. Sadly, I was coming to the conclusion that rather than let her suffer any more I would have to put her to sleep.
However, I got on the internet and read about Longevity and decided to give it a try. I ordered some and within a few days I noticed she wasn't hobbling around as much. Her coat was shinier. After two weeks she was moving easier, even going out into the corral and letting the horses know she was boss again. A month later she started running and was back to moving at a trot wherever she went.
It has been two years since I started giving Spud her Longevity. She does her little dance every night reminding me it's her treat time. I think she'd lick it right out of my hand. Thank God for my procrastination. I never got around to buying canned food to mix Longevity with for my Black Lab, Griffey. I mixed it with his dry food adding a small amount of water. He loves it and dances when he sees me open the can. With all that is going on with dog food these days, I don't need any more health issues with him. He is doing great on Longevity, has more energy and isn't limping as much from hip and knee problems…I give it to Tess also, my other Black Lab, mostly because she loves it. I work in a chiropractic office and I tell people all the time about your great products. Thank you so much for helping Griffey get back to himself.

Your products literally saved my dog's life. I have a 12 year old Jack Russell named Rudy that was not doing well at all (he got kicked in the head by my horse when he was about 2 and because of that, he has really bad joint pain in his neck due to pinched nerves). My mom was telling me it might be best if I put him down because of the horrible pain he was in. I was not ready to let go of and give up on my baby. I took a trip to Petsmart to see if they had any type of product that could help him, and that's when I was told about Springtime by a vet tech. Immediately I contacted you all and you were so helpful in helping me decide what to give him. He's been on Advanced Hip & Joint Chewables and Longevityfor a little over a month now (he started showing results within the first week or two) and I now have my puppy back. Before, he was unable to even get out of his bed and had to be carried to make it out of the living room (we have two steps to get out of the living room). It was one of the most heart-wrenching things to watch him try to get around. We tried him on steroids from the vet and they helped, but made him mean towards my other dogs, and was unable to hold his pee when trying to get to the door so we had to stop that. He became quite lame and after several trips to the vet he was x-rayed and it was discovered that due to the growth plate injury, his ulna stopped growing while his radius bone continued to grow thus causing him to have a crooked leg and a severe limp. I am so grateful for your products and the quality of life it has provided our very loved, four legged members of our family. Kiya, our Akita, has been having a lot of breathing issues (my vet said it is similar to COPD, and we don't smoke). It was breaking our hearts to think of putting her down, but it had gotten to where she had been having accidents, and was unable to make it outside because the cold took her breath away. I began giving her the Fresh Factors ground up in her food with a couple of raw eggs and some of the Bug Off Garlic Chewables. She was also on some prednisone from the vet. In less than two weeks, she was able to get up and willingly go outside on her own! Amazing! She still had some trouble with labored breathing, but she hadn't collapsed and I didn't see her tongue turn blue. I then ordered more Fresh Factors and added the Joint Health Chewables. I also decided to chance a try at the Breather Powder, as the vet said her symptoms were similar to heaves in horses. Kiya is 100 pounds, and I gave her about ¼ teaspoon mixed in with her dinner. Now her breathing seems less labored, and once again, she got up and out. Her eyes look brighter and she is more alert. She was sleeping so much more before.
Spirit has had problems with chronic yeast infections in her ears, and had been a nervous chewer, gnawing on her front legs, which she has stopped since taking her Fresh Factors. She takes them like a treat but Kiya won't, so we crush them into a powder.
I didn't want to make this so lengthy, but I always tell my friends about the summer when Spirit was attacked by bees. She had been on her Bug Off Garlic Chewables since March and the incident happened in late August. My young son was walking his "puppy" and hooked her leash to a log on the wood pile. None of us had noticed bees there before, but when the dog pulled they swarmed her. Fortunately, we had the hose on, as we were watering the horses. I called the vet, who advised us to give her benedryl, and to watch her for seizures or shock. I picked several bees out of her fur, and noticed that while she was covered in bees, there were no welts, and no evidence she had been stung. I later looked on the internet and read of several instances where dogs had died from similar events. All I can say is thank God she was on Bug Off Garlic Chewables!

I decided to start giving Fresh Factors to Chip a couple of years ago just for preventative maintenance purposes. The attached photo was taken in December when we were on vacation in Florida. Even at age 9, Chip has lots of energy and can outrun many dogs half his age.

Last December, I took my little brown dog, Gracie, to my vet at least three times for a treatment for terrible lick granuloma that she had on her rear leg. She was put onto a protocol of antibiotics and several other drugs to help her heal. Unfortunately, none of them worked.
I decided that going natural was the key to our success. I adjusted her diet cutting out corn, wheat, soy and dairy, and I added Fresh Factors and Omega 3-6-9. Today, almost a year later, she is not licking anymore, and her leg has healed (and she has great skin and a beautiful coat)! This was proven to me when we took in two senior Rottie boys, Jimmy and Sammy, who were in terrible shape. Although a month ago, I lost my beloved JR to bone cancer, I am happy to report that Fresh Factors and Joint Health Chewables (the Combo) greatly improved his quality of life until the end. Emma is still going strong at 12! I am also thrilled to report that a recent trip to the vet shows that one of her mammary tumors is dead, the other mammary tumor and the tumor in her abdomen have STOPPED growth! I have enclosed a picture of my Pugs. We started using Fresh Factors in '96, and our Pug, Tigger, was 9 years old at the time. She had degeneration of the spinal cord. She had lost use of her hind legs and we got her a wheel chair and in the spring of '96 she began losing control of her bowels. I had received your catalog in the mail, so I ordered Fresh Factors. Within two weeks Tigger was back to playing with her sister Banjo. It was amazing to say the least! She had regained control of her bowels and lived seven more happy years. We have had all of our pugs on Fresh Factors and just last year we put Columbo on Joint Health Chewables full time. They love Bee Pollen too – they beg for that! Banjo lived to be 17 years old, we just lost her last summer. I know their longevity is due to your products.

Her first mission after Search and Rescue certification was the World Trade Center in New York City – she never flinched and attacked the job like a pro. We still do little searches because she loves it.
She has joint issues in her left elbow from Lyme disease, but the Joint Health Formula allows her to move fluidly and pain-free.

2012 Update on Tsunami

Tsunami is aging. She was the product of traditional veterinary medicine for half of her life. Over vaccination, numerous treatments of antibiotics and steroids, commercial dog foods were her bane. And a search dog works hard and many times in hostile environments. She suffered from tickborne diseases, arthritis and heart disease. Fortunately, with the help of alternative medicine and fine holistic veterinarians like Margo Roman, DVM, Tsunami is enjoying her retirement.
On the 10th Anniversary of 9-11, Tsunami and I attended a ceremony at Liberty State Park (Findingoneanother.org) honoring the work of the K9 SAR teams, and so many more rescue and recovery workers who shed sweat and tears during the exhaustive search and recovery operations following September 11, 2001.

First, let me say – Thank you! Your product helped our 10 year old Lab/Australian Shepherd/Spaniel mix gain his mobility back. At age 9, Bliss tore his ACL, and never really recovered from it. After surgery, the vet recommended glucosamine/chondroitin, and we gave him that for about six months without any noticeable improvement. Our hearts were very heavy with having a "young" dog that was miserable and didn't want to move. A neighbor, knowing how this dog loved to walk, saw me basically pulling him just to give him some exercise. She recommended your Joint Health Chewables and I ordered them that night. We got it several days later and notice an immediate improvement within a week of giving him the first chewable! He'll now "jog" with us and runs around the yard. Truly, we feel that you gave us our dog back!
